Editorial guidelines

  • Write what you actually know — first-hand experience is welcome, secondhand summaries are not.
  • Cite your sources, link to your evidence, and correct errors openly when they happen.
  • Disclose any commercial or personal relationship that might colour the writing.
  • Avoid AI-generated text masquerading as original reporting. AI is a tool; it is not a byline.
  • Be generous with other writers, even when you disagree.

Writers retain full ownership of everything they publish on Flickword. We hold a non-exclusive licence to display, distribute and promote your work on the platform.

You can republish your stories anywhere else at any time, and you can remove them from Flickword whenever you like.
